Cryogenics are becoming more popular as visual effects, cryojets are electronically operated cryo valves that allow liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide through to a nozzle, so the effect is very similar to a fire extinguisher discharging.
Cyrogenic special effects are big, loud and instant, but the effect also disappears as soon as it is stopped.
Cryogenics effects can also be used to rapidly cool an area such as a dance floor. Especially useful for large dance events that take place in venues where the ventilation systems simply cannot handle the heat generated by thousands of sweaty revilers!
A blast with a nitrogen cannon over the dance floor not only looks impressive, but can drop the temperature in the arena by several degrees making the environment safer and more comfortable for the crowd.
All the
Co2 used in our effects is sourced from a supplier that re-claims the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, so when we discharge Co2, we are simply putting it back where it came from – the carbon dioxide is not manufactured.
The system is also capable of creating a controlled rain effect on stage, the footprint that the water falls in is about 150mm with splashes reaching approximately 1000mm. This controllability makes the system ideal for use on stage around live electrical equipment. |
