PYROTECNICS & NOISE AT WORK REGULATIONS

Did you know that the new noise at work regulations will shortly cover the entertainment industry? Under these new regulations Employees are not to be exposed to pressure levels above 137dB(Linear) regardless of hearing protection.
If you expose anyone to above 140dB(Linear) you may damage their hearing and could be prosecuted. With today’s loud pyrotechnic effects in constant use and the Clients always wanting the loudest effect possible it is important to know if you are going to exceed these limits.
We have specialised calibrated equipment that will monitor the Air Over Pressure and the data can be downloaded for future use. With this equipment it is possible to test the effects to ensure that they are the correct size and the location is suitable.
